DEFORMATION - Art . Carl Zimmerling

DEFORMATION  -  a dissolution of concepts

All our habits, including the visual ones, arise out of a certain context.

If this context changes such that what we see can no longer be related to something already known we lose track. And in this moment we can see new instead of only recognising.

This process releases energy.
The density of form and concept becomes vibration of colours and light.

This energy was previously bound in the unconscious effort to recognise something as already existing in our expectations instead of seeing it as it is.
